My parents transferred to Denver in the beginning of our senior year, so although I didn't graduate with the class, I still feel like Kennedy is my school. and will be very happy to see everyone at the reunion, and to renew old friendships. Send Barbara a MessageSend Barbara a Message

I invented Post-Its! Married
Oh mother tell your children
Not to do what I have done
Spend your lives in sin and misery
In the House of the Rising Sun.

I was at Kennedy the first year it opened. The cover of the first issue of the school newspaper had a picture of the Band with me, a cardboard whiskey bottle and the "bird". I was expelled from Kennedy because of that picture.
Two years and two high schools later I was back at Kennedy in 1969.
While in high school I joined a rock band called Ronny and the Regents. Later we changed our name to Church. We worked all the clubs and were regulars at The Sands and Crazy Horse. I did that for about 5-6 years with the last two at the Ivanhoe club on Bourbon Street, six nights a week till 4 AM.
I got sick of that and moved to the largest hippie commune in America, The Farm in SummertownTN. I stayed there for about 3 years. I did way too many psychedelics back then.
I headed back to N.O. where Jesus kicked me in the rear end and aimed me in the right direction.
Yada yada yada. I now live in the mountains about 90 miles north of Gatlinburg TN.
I was in Junk Mail advertising sending out pizza coupons by the millions. I broke my back lifting a BigGreenEgg BBQ Grill and I no longer work. I pay retail for pizza now.
I've been married to my lovely Tennessee Wife (I'm still a LSU fan) for 21 years. No kids, one cat.

I know what it means to miss New Orleans.

September 30, 1951 Real Estate Broker and College Instructor Married 3 1969

Married to Katie AUSTIN Donovan since January 1973.   Katie and I currently live in Riverside, CA, and we're still going strong after 38 years.   We have two grown children and two grandsons.

After HS, I married Sheila McDougall  (JFK class of 1970) and we had a daughter and later divorced in 1972.  The Viet Nam war pulled me into service with the USAF in 1971, and with just one break in service, after 25 years on active duty I retired as a Lt Colonel in early 1999.  After the service I successfully transitioned into civilian life as a wholesale sales rep in the RV industry.  Recently I started two new careers as a Real Estate Broker and part time college instructor.  My education includes a BS degree from the University of Southern Mississippi, an MS degree from Texas A & M, MS degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology and USAF Air War College.  GO AIR FORCE!

After graduation I went to UNO and, yes, continued to play music under Milton Bush. Worked part time at UNO’s Computer Research Center, the Meal-a-Minute and Mayflower restaurants

Then I hired on with South Central Bell who became BellSouth, and now AT&T. I spent 33 years there and retired in July of 2003. I installed and maintained computers and networks for most of my career.

I was living on a 51' Sailboat at the
Municipal Yacht Harbor when Hurricane Katrina destroyed my boat and everything else I owned.

After the Hurricane I moved to
Alexandria, Va. for a year and then to Jacksonville, Fl. for 3 years.

I recently returned to the
New Orleans area in May 2009 and have rented an apartment.

My plan is to find another boat, a first mate, then sail the
Caribbean and South America.

I work part-time as a computer consultant. I also take groups to the
Caribbean on Sailing Adventure Vacations.

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the Reunion and renewing our connection. If anyone has photos from our High School and college days, I would love to have a copy as all of mine were lost.

Thanks to Rob and Katie for setting up this web site. Thanks to Scott for organizing this Reunion.

Digging out the ole memory box was fun. Steve Gonzales said, “I talked too much” (I thought I was quiet in High School?) Kerrin Flynn mentioned our “escapades” in the “cemeteries”. (I considered myself a scary cat back then-guess not) Steff Price said, “Never forget our tree” (guess I did) Nancy Lewis said, “Stay as aggravating as you have been and no one will forget you” (that I maintained throughout all these years…ask my family. LOL Lynn Hays said, “She thought I was funny and P.S. I had a hole in my dress.” (Now look who’s funny :-), least I hope so although I can’t remember my Home Eco. Grade though!) Jean Cerny said, “Remember how we studied for shorthand” NOW that I know can’t be accurate! Hope everyone has laughable memories. Send voo a MessageSend voo a Message
