Does anyone think any of our former teachers are still alive that would be interested in attending the reunion?? Let's get the word out to them!

THANK YOU to all those that help with getting the word out to the teachers.  It was so exciting to see those that came and they still look like they are just a few years older then us....;-) Makes you think, were we that old or were they still that young when they taught us back in '69.
I hope all returned home safe and are ready to do it again in Fall 2014 or early Spring 2015. Stay in touch with us through the website and let us know if you find someone not at the reunion so we can add them to our list.
Till we meet again remember the 40th and plan to come adventure with us at the 45th.

Hi all.

We found Ms Schmidt our typing teacher who will be joining us at the reunion.  I was so excited to learn about her coming because typing was one of my most important classes. It is amazing how many folks with computers can only peck and not type.

She is also trying to round up some other teachers like Ms Shirley Rebennack (girl's gym teacher) and Mr. Drouet (Physics)

Anyway  I spoke with Trudy and she says she knows of at least 6 teachers still with us and she has taken on the assignment of trying to locate them and get them to the reunion.

I have asked Marie Petrie and Scott M to try and find Trudy Schmidt our JFK typing teacher.  She was a Phi Mu (like me from SLU)and I got an address for her from them. NOt sure  if they have had any luck or not finding her.

Over the hill? You may be, if . . .

1 You and your teeth don't sleep together.
2 You try to straighten out the wrinkles in your socks and discover you aren't wearing any.
3 At the breakfast table, you hear snap, crackle, pop and you're not eating cereal.
4 Your back goes out but you stay home.
5 You wake up looking like your driver's' license photo.
6 It takes two tries to get up from the couch.
7 When your idea of a night out is sitting on the patio.
8 When happy hour is a nap.
9 When you're on vacation and your e...

"My Favorite Things"

Thanks Betty LeBlanc for finding this and sharing it with the class.  Of course it doesn't apply to any of us.

In 2005, Julie Andrews turned 69 and to commemorate her 69th birthday (and the 40th anniversary of the Sound of Music)  actress/vocalist Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan 's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP..  One of the musical numbers she performed was "My Favorite Things" from the legendary movie "The Sound Of Music."
